Hi Dennis,
I find the S-02s are quieter on surfaces where the MXV4s really roar--most noticeably worn concrete. I initially thought it was wind noise, but on freeways where you transition from old concrete to new asphalt it simply disappears, meaning tires. This change is much less dramatic with the S-02s.
At in-town speeds I didn't really sense much noise difference. What's hugely different is how much more bite the S-02s have in accelerating--both from a stop and accelerating out of corners. I'd swear the car picked up 0.1g of cornering grip, and I hardly ever notice the traction control at work with the Bridgestones (a daily occurrence with the Michelins).
