Yes, Chrysler products used pushbuttons for their automatics for the 1956-64 model years.
Bud didja know...
Ramblers used pushbuttons briefly (60-62 if I recall). You pressed the "Neutral" button to start the car.
Edsel used pushbuttons for the 1958 model year. They were mounted in the center of the steering column(!). "Teletouch" was the marketing name.
Packard used pushbuttons in the mid 50's for their "Ultramatic". Unfortunately, if you parked on a hill and pushed Park, the servos were not strong enough to shift out of Park as the gear had been wedged in due to the weight of the car putting tension on the driveline.
...and you thought Saabs were quirky!
