I _strongly_ recommend the Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW2. They are H rated and nearly as good in the dry as regular high performance tires (a little more hum due to the siping) and are excellent in all winter conditions. They do not have quite the ultimate snow traction of an unworn Blizzack or other pure winter tire, but they are an excellent all-around tire that you would be very happy with. They are almost good enough for year round use, but they are considered to be winter tires. My wife uses them on her Audi and they wear very well. I plan to replace the too-soft Hakka Qs on my Aero Wagon with a set when those wear out (too soon).
While 16 inchers would work better, these tires are available in the stock 17 inch size for your summer wheels. They look cool also....
Your local dealer may not stock them, but the bigger Goodyear stores should, when the weather gets cold enough for snow or ice.
