Need to know if this is something you consider "Not a good idea" or "Good idea" Why? (I think someone may have posted something similar to this in the past, not sure. I'm kinda new to the board)

I'm thinking of MM (Music and Movies) delivering it in a possible fashion below:
1) mount a laptop stand above the gear selector with keeping the same style scheme. (attaching two legs on both L and R sides of base of console housing extending above gear selector)
2) install an AC outlet into dash or underneath for house hold item(s)
3) install a audio input into dash for laptop (MP3 players too)
- can I add another change of "Src" to the existing stereo system?
4) install Apple iBook or PowerBook onto stand and connect power and audio (Intel/Windows is an option too)

or

I could setup a system, laptop or desktop, in my trunk with the same features stated above.


How would I and or my passenger(s) benefit?
- all could see the laptop screen and hear the audio
- I could use it partially or more for work purposes. (I could edit/create documents)
- I could use it and other software/hardware to implement a different security and navigation system
- game console
- ....and for kicks, I could sink an iSub (glassed woofer) into rear dash behind rear head resters in middle for looks


Don't laugh, but have fun!!! Thanks if you have the time to answer.
