I have a Hyperboost BPV on my 02 Aero.
1) I was torn between the Forge and Hyperboost initially but the threat of poor performance by Forge in cold weather and a write up by Audi site, see Hyperboost site, that the Hyperboost out performed the Forge pushed me to Hyperboost, black body.

2)At ~3000 miles I installed the Hyperboost. The install was quite easy. Immediately I noticed the turbo lag was almost gone.

3) Had a 5k oil change for free at dealer, so I put the Bosch BPV back in. At first I thought there was no loss in performance compared to the Hyperboost. So I left it in for a week. Noticed that there was a rush of power after stepping on the accelerator. Finally realized that this is turbo lag. It was suttle, but as the week worn on it became more obvious, either it was actually getting slightly worse or I was noticing it more.

4) So to test if the this was all in my mind or real, I put the Hyperboost back in and immediately noticed no lag in power rush. THe turbo boost was virtually immediate, it was there when I stepped on the accelerator. Wow!

Moral of the story, the Hyperboost actually improves performance, by getting rid of the turbo lag.
