From what I understand, only Canadian issue 9-5s offer the block heater as standard equipment. Interestingly, I've seen southern US 9-5s for sale online and some didn't even have heated seats. It makes sense, I suppose, from a regional marketing perspective.
BTW: I'm still trying to find out the power consumption on the electrical heater--does anyone know?
