well chin up smitty. We have owned 6 SAABs in 15 years and have had overall good luck. The best luck was in Nov. 2001. My 18 year old son was driving his good friend and their girl friends home one night. My son was driving his 94 SAAB 9000 CS. They were struck head on by a Mitsubishi Montero SUV at an estimated 40 mph. The impact push the SAAB up the street 70 ft. and spun it 180 degrees, air bags deployed. The SUV was flatbedded away. The SAAB drove to a nearby parking lot to await a tow as it had no lights and was losing antifreeze. Minor injuries to the SUV driver, no injuries to the SAAB passengers.
Just Good Luck or Superior Technology, I'd bet on the latter.
Next time an incident happen with your SAAB just think, " If it was another vehicle it would probably be worst".
