dead/dying battery at 22k mi.? Is this for real?

I have an '00 Aero and when I went to start my car tonight it barely turned over--I was lucky to get home. The tripmeter on the computer was reset, and the dash acted all strange--the car acted like the battery was totally dead.

I just bought this car used a few months ago--but is it really possible a 2 year old battery on a car with 22k would die this soon? It's under warranty, and I'll have to take it in on Monday since I have a big Thanksgiving roadtrip next week--but this little encounter has me freaked out.

Anyone have something similar happen?
