Thanks for the info! My front rotors are starting to look grooved, so I'm really considering putting EBC pads in soon. The brake dust doesn't bother me as much as the fact that my rotors might not last for very long with the stock pads.
As for the rear brakes, I believe the 9-5 uses a small separate brake drum for the parking brake, unlike on my previous 9000, where it was integrated with the caliper (and yes you had to back out the hidden adjusting screw to retract the caliper piston--thank goodness a low-cost, printed, separate "brake repair" section of the workshop manual was available from SAAB back then--I bought it, wary of working on brakes equipped w/ABS for the first time, turns out you don't have to deal with the ABS components when doing a pad/rotor change!)
Also, GREAT idea to put anti-seize on the single hex rotor nut... I will do that even if I decide to stick with the stock pads.
