9-5 premium stereo problem

hi, I have 1,000 miles on my new 9-5 ARC; the stereo didn't quite sound great to me when I initially auditioned it (coming from a great Bose system in my Acura RL), but I couldn't quite tell the problem. Over the last few days, I've been listening to CDs of solo piano (Bach- glenn gould) and guitar (Kottke etc.,) and there is very obvious distortion from both front and rear speakers with a buzz on certain notes even at relatively low volumes. I listened to a classical FM station and heard the same distortion. It isn't subtle. I have the dealer installed 6 disc changer and the discs are distorted from both CD sources. I tried the maximum start volume trick, that didn't affect the distortion- Anyone else have this problem with their stereo? any suggestions?
thanks!
