For many years Pirelli was the OE fitment - until first the P8 on the early-to-mid '80s 900 and then the P7 on the early '90s 9000T came from together without provocation - then it was mostly Michelin. I've heard that Michelin was being less than accomodating on the price front as well, and Pirelli has been lobbying hard to get back into Saab's good graces. In case you hadn't noticed the substantial and consistent support Pirelli gives to the Saab Owners' Conventions...
