I find that when making a shoulder check to inspect the driver's side 'blind spot', that things seem very obsure. Relative to the 95SET, I don't know if the B pillar is closer or bigger or both, but it seems to take up a huge field of view, so that there is little to see thru the passenger window behind. Its a bit hard to eval, but it makes me very uncomfortable. (Yes, I am probably spooked with my recent rear-ender.)
The RH door mirror is great. I feel that the flat driver's door mirror does not do the job. It seems smaller, resulting in a smaller field of view. Perhaps the size of the mirror is dictated by the overall design being for the curved euro mirror, and when the flat mirror is installed for this market it is too small.
The combination of a mirror that seems too small, plus a poor view with shoulder checks does not add to my comfort level.
I do not feel safe with this combo.
