I have 3 reasons for wishing my doors automatically

locked. They're 10, 8, and 6 years old respectively. it's nice not to worry that one of them will open the door while the car's underway. So, I've got the child safety switches set for the rear doors. That means someone has to physically let the rear occupants out -even when it's not the kids back there.
Also, some areas are prone to car-jacking. Having the doors locked while the car is running provides some security.
