I didn't mess with the stock stereo at all. I installed the Alpine head unit, which comes with an RF modulator, in the empty pace at the bottom of the dash. It looks pretty good, the service isgreat and the RF modultor works fine. I'll post pics.
But I was wondering whether the installer might have jarred a connection that's affecting the sound quality of the rear speakers. This system sounds a LITTLE bit funny in that way. (See earlier post.)To have an idea whether the connection was affected, I need to check a Saab 9-5 that hasn't been tinkered with. Could you, or anyone else on this board, fade the stereo to the rear speakers and let me know whether it sounds tinny? Are the rear speakers listenable on their own? Is there any bass when the sound is shifted entirely to the rear speakers? Thanks.
