Sounds like a malfunction of the system to me. I am not satisfied with the way the system warms up the car in the winter - overheating me for the first 20 minutes (please post the fix if anyone has solved this problem). But after that the system seems to work fine even in very cold weather. I've taken some longer trips during the latest East coast cold spell and after 20 min. or so the air temp from the blower cools down and maintains a comfortable cabin temp. At that point the system also responds reasonably well if I bump the temp. setting up or down a bit. I usually end up at a setting of 64 or 66 degs.
Good luck getting it fixed, the ACC seems to be a big mystery to some of the dealers...
