0-25 mph in a 9-5 2.3lpt is never a thrill, hot weather or cold, no matter what transmission mode you are in. In the summer, or in Florida/LA, things may be even worse because you have the A/C on most of the year. Its worse in the summer here. After 9/11 I had to change my commuting patterns, and ended up with 2 traffic merges around the Pentagon which were essentially frightening. No help from my otherwise friendly dealer's service department. Bottom line, if you can afford a really nice car like a 9-5, you shouldn't need to quibble about $1.50 or $2.00 a week for premium. That amount won't buy anything but the smallest coffee at Starbucks, so just cut down one cup a week and you're set.
