Anyway, I think most of the speaker upgrade discussions have been aimed at the "Premium" level audio, not the "Prestige" level (which, diabolically, is part of the 9-5 base or Linear "Premium Package"). The Prestige unit includes presumably better and more expensive, certainly different, drivers than the Premium level. As I've written, it gives the best sound one can reasonably obtain from a car radio. The operative word here is "reasonably". You can always do better, with massive amounts of power and finely crafted drivers and enclosures at prices beyond belief. I don't think swaping the couple or three dashboard drivers in the "Prestige" system for what are very good but still mass-market units will accomplish enough to be worth the trouble of digging the dashboard open. IMO.
