I have this valve on our 2000 9-5 (4 cylinder) and also on our 1994 9000 Aero. On both cars I used the washer that came with the valve and have had no leakage problems. The actuating lever lined up on either the top or the side of the valve on both cars and there was no reduction in ground clearance after installing the valves. This valve really makes oil changes much easier, rather than having to deal with removing and reinstalling the drain bolt and washer at each oil change.
