I think this phenomenon is more attributable to the break-in process your AERO is going through, rather than the "miracle oil" 0W-40.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but a very recent post of yours noted about 5,000 miles on your odometer....so your mileage will still increase until you reach approx 7,500 when most 9-5's are fully "broken-in".
