OK, it's about time for this topic to end. The issue was not one of changes in the radio from MY 2000 to 2003, but rather of changes in my memory. Switching the radio to Euro tuning DOES work.
By default our (North American) radios tune in 0.2 MHz increments from 87.9 MHz to 107.9 MHz on the FM band. The audio for TV channel 6 is at about 87.75 MHz. By switching to Euro tuning mode, the radio will tune form 87.5 MHz to 108.0 Mhz in increments of 0.05 MHz.
Switching between modes erases any presets. Switching to Euro mode disables the Weather Band feature. Switching to Euro mode makes the AM stations tune a bit off because the stations are at 9 kHz steps. (The two AM stations that I listen to are 610 and 1060; they come in just fine as 610 and 1062.)
To switch modes:
1. Turn the radio off.
2. Hold down the left side of the << SEEK >> button.
3. Turn the radio on.
To switch back, do the same thing.
--Ken
P.S. No other TV stations are available because they are not near the frequencies tunable by the radio.
