It still has a DI cassette, so I would assume NKGBCPR[6|7]es-11's gapped to around .35" I assume that the needs of the DI are the over riding issue. Platinum plugs will have more stable gaps during there service life, but are hardly worth the premium. If you are doing this sort of thing yourself, and you should, then the platinums don't make much sense. A basic plug gapped to .035" will be in the in-gap tolerance range longer than one gapped to .039". Gapping to .039" is silly as the plugs get into trouble with higher gaps. Either heat range might do. You might not need the hotter 6 range to burn off deposits as the on-boost richness might be less severe so the amount of soot to burn off the plugs might be less. But nothing replaces examining these things yourself. Thats why you need to do your own plug maintenance.
I ran BCPR6EVX- in my 95SET for years. The gap was stable but you still want to regap once a year and have a look see. With the costs, you need 4 or 5 years out of them to break even. My Saab (rip) was rearended before those plugs got that old. I pulled them from the wreck and will use them in my 03 9-5 Aero someday.
Platinum's make sense when your dealer labor rates are high and you don't do any of this stuff yourself. Then you run those for a long time and no one looks at them for a few years I assume.
