A while back I encountered the same problem with my 1994 9000 Aero - then I discovered the write-up on Quasimotors site (http://www.quasimotors.com)on how to install a Valentine One in the 9000. Essentially you have to remove the screws securing the mirror and replace them with slightly longer screws. This lowers the rearview mirror enough to be able to fit the Valentine One above the mirror. Possibly this same type of fix may just work on your
9-5. Anyway, check out Quasimotors site, click on Procedures, then on Intereior Repair/Disassembly Procedures, then on Valentine One Above the Mirror Installation.
