I'll tell you this list never stops being a blessing to me!!
Replaced the front pads and turned the rotors on my wife's 2001 9-3SE. I've quite a bit of experience with changing brakes on 900's; and 9000's but never on the newer generation Saabs. Anyway, got through the job in good shape only to find that the brakes were very low and soft. Tried bleeding the system a few times - but with no success. Then, this morning I did a search on the 9-5 BB and lo and behold I found this post.
Damn, if that wasn't my problem! Those little springs are quite easy to put on wrong. In fact, it is almost intuitive to put them on wrong. It took quite a bit of muscle to install them properly. But, the brakes are firm and high. Thanks for the advice Wray.
