Copper are fine, platinum you stated the dealer said is a "must", I do not think that is consistent with Saab's service recommendation. But consider:
-Cost of plat. vs copper
- Hesitation - was it caused by spark plug gap wearing too wide ?
The type of ignition on your Saab does wear plugs more rapidly than simple coil systems, and the plugs act to fire the mixture and act as sensors playing a key role in engine management. So I think it is wise to check and adjust copper plug gaps at 15K miles, rather than go to 30K. If you do not mess with this sort of thing, platinum may make sense, as you could probably run to 60K and then have the dealer check and adjust the gap at 60K. But the dealer will probably tell you to replace anyway.
Confusing ?
