As a matter of routine maintenance I change out the plugs every 10K. It is also a carry over from what I had to do on my previous 1999 9-3, . I use NGK BCPR6Es11's. The need for "frequent" plug changing seesm to be a trionic trait. The system uses the plugs as knock sensors as I understand it. The car seesm to run better as a result of the plug changes.
