I got a brand new TB from Talliaferro Saab for $244, and replaced it myself. Took about 30 minutes. Condition of the car was about the same, but CEL was on and the car eventually went into limp home mode.
I have been told not to use a used/reconditioned part for this fix. The newer part has needed programming to function more reliably. I got a used part the first time from Goldwing for about $80, but it lasted less than six months.
