JUST RECEIVED THIS REPLY REGARDING HIRSCH UPGRADES.
Dear Brian,
Thank you for contacting the Saab Cars USA Customer Interaction Center.
Unfortunately, the Hirsch Performance package is not yet available in the United States.
I do thank you for your interest, and it will be noted. Currently, we are trying to find out what kind of interest there is in the Hirsch package for future development.
Sincerely,
Phil
Saab Cars USA
Subject: Technical Inquiry
Comment: I own a 2001 Aero. Saab Performance by Hirsch company lists two
engine performance upgrade options to increase engine power to either 280
or 305 horsepower. Their web site says the work is performed at their
locations and at Saab dealerships. If perfomed by Saab at a local
dealership, will my new car warranty remain in effect, unchanged? The
upgrades mostly focus on the turbocharger programming chip, and adjustments
to the engine management computer system.
Please e-mail me back and focus on warranty implications of this upgrade.
