Warning: Objects in mirror...

...are now more visible! I finally got a hold of a Euro driver's outside mirror this week and installed it. What a difference! Thanks are due to the friend of mine (who occasionally peruses Saabnet) who located the part for me.
The Euro/UK mirror was discussed in this forum a few weeks ago and now that I have mine, I can share some observations:
1. The Euro driver's and UK passenger's mirror are the same part. I checked the number that was on my box and the EPC and found that, while Saab has separate Listings for the Euro driver and UK passenger mirror, they are the same number.
2. The "main" part of the mirror is convex so the perspective is exactly the same as your current passenger mirror.
3. After I installed the mirror, I noticed that I had to adjust it outward to the limit of its travel so that my door handles were just visible.
4. The view is fantastic! I can now see three lanes over to my left. This is very useful on those multi lane freeways when you are trying to merge left and cannot see someone else trying to merge right into the same spot.
If you can find a way to get one, do so.
