Be sure the bars are not on backwards

The cross bars are airfoils, having a leading and trailing edge. In cross section, the leading surface is thicker and radiused, trailing to a sharper point in the rear -just like an airplane wing.
Sometimes, installers put them on backwards, intuitively thinking that the sharper rear edge should lead; allowing it to cut through the air like a knife. Unfortunately, aerodynamics doesn't work that way.
Check to see if yours are on right.
