I've been running Red Line Oil's Power Steering fluid in my 2000 Aero for about 5k miles (since I got it) with no problem. In fact, I never hear a squeak or groan out of the steering rack (I've listened) since switching. Also, no leaks.
The Pentosin is good stuff. Audi & BMW have been using it for decades. The Red Line is a full synthetic that's "suitable in most power steering units". The PS system is just a hydraulic pump, and the Pentosin is just hydraulic fluid (really good hydraulic fluid). The trick with hydraulic systems is to get the weight of the oil right, or the seals will leak.
