Test drove the Volvo and Saab yesterday but was really disappointed with the bottom line on the Aero which was $40,802 and the volvo was $36,850!!We wanted the Saab but $40K seems a bit high.
I can not believe that this is the best deal Saab can do. We are trying to buy the aero and buy our 9-3 off lease and the best price the saleman can do is $40K wtf, thats two cars and real deals. Now the salesman also did not know much about the car. We had brought up our son to see how big the back seat was with a baby seat in it but the salesman did not know how to install the baby seat. When installing the baby seat we had some trouble with it securing correctly so we never did get it installed correctly.
The volvo dealership was created for people to bring there kids along for test drives, they had play rooms and kids tv stations playing. I would also have to say while we were there they sold three wagons. At the Saab dealership we were the only ones at the dealership and this mybe a reason why we had much a high price. In the end the Volvo felt cheaper on the interior, the suspension was very soft and the engine lacked power. The dealer orginally said they had a V70R in stock but they did not, they also did not have a V70T5 so we ended up test driving the V70 2.5T.
Well that was yesteday and not today. Today I decided to call around and see if I could get a better price which I got at VOB. What a differance we are getting the same car that Hunt Valley Saab had (automatic tranny and touring package) for $35,700 and this was before I told them that I needed to buy my 9-3 off lease as well. The car color is merlot red with tan leather, not sure how I like the merlot red yet but it looks different then our black and blue 9-3 and 900.
