I have the same trailer, but went with 1x6 pressure treated deck boards for the bed, in case it needs to set outside with mulch or leaves. The thing is too heavy for me to stand up after folding it in half. I'll have to rig a come-along to garage rafter when I want to stand it up on the casters. Maybe as the pressure-treatment dries out some the bed will get lighter and I can lift myself. I'm sure 1/2" plywood would weigh significantly less than the wood I used.
Or, I just realized, maybe you can lift it on the casters first, then fold the other bed half to it? Would have to be careful to prevent tipping it back over.
But, even just folded in half, its storage is much more manageable.
