rant--Michelin Pilot Primacy on national backorder!

Crap! Discovered one of my tires at 10 psi and found the culprit: a nail at the edge of the tread (the unpatchable area)
And of course, Pilot Primacy in 225/45WR17 Extra Load is on national backorder.
My tire guy calls like 10 places (plus the SAAB dealer and the Tire Rack) and nobody has it... except for one rapist who wants $279 for it.
Tire guy suggests installing two Sumitomos instead, keeping the good Primacy as a spare ("You'll need it for when one of the other two bubble", he says) but I don't like the idea of mixing tires... had a bad experience with that before.
I briefly thought of removing the 3 good Primacys (only 5,000 miles on them) and selling them here, and getting 4 P-Zero Rossos, but figured it'd be too much trouble. Plus the Primacys have been very good so far, and seem to sufficiently protect my wheels from potholes (knock on wood!)
So I chose to get ripped off... I just hope these tires don't get noisy before they're worn, as BMW & Audi owners have reported over at the Tire Rack!
Jason
ps- there was a guy with a new BMW 7-series with a flat, and he thought *he* was getting a raw deal paying $285 for a 275/40-19 tire... HA!!!
