Look at the changes of the 2004 9-5 version
I don't know if this is only for the American market,it seems that could be, because doesn't speak anything about the diesel engines and the 2-0t with 150hp. It seems the V6 will disapear.

2004 SAAB 9-5: LUXURY AND RESPONSIVE PERFORMANCE IN A MID-SIZE PACKAGE
Saab continues to fine-tune its 9-5 lineup to give customers more of what they've come to expect from Saab: performance and value in a luxurious mid-size package. Enhancements for 2004 include an even more sporting personality for the Arc models, exterior revisions to the Aero models and more stand-alone content, making every 9-5 an even better value for Saab customers.
"We believe the repositioning of some of our 9-5 content enables us to provide Saab customers with a better value proposition. Now, our customers can choose a 9-5 that more ideally suits their specific needs," said Saab Automobile President and CEO Peter Augustsson.
Saab 9-5 model designations, or "forms," will continue to give customers three distinct vehicle personalities from which to choose: Linear, Arc and Aero. Each form is matched with unique interior trim, upholstery, wheel package and powertrain.
Linear
The Linear embodies elegant Swedish design and features the 2.3L, four-cylinder 185- horsepower (138 kw) light-pressure turbo. Available exclusively as a SportWagon for 2004, the 9-5 Linear form features such standard items as an electronic traction control system (TCS), electronic stability program (ESP), anti-lock braking system (ABS) and 16-inch light alloy wheels.
Inside, Linear SportWagon customers are rewarded with leather seating surfaces, a wood-trimmed instrument panel, electrically adjustable front seats and automatic climate control with separate temperature controls for driver and front passenger. Maximizing utility, the 9-5 Linear SportWagon also features a rear seat that can be fully or partially folded (60/40), a rigid cargo shelf and the CargoTracks load-securing system.
Arc
For those customers who prefer a sportier ride coupled with additional comfort features, Saab offers the 9-5 Arc, available in Sedan or SportWagon body styles. For 2004, it features a more powerful 220-horsepower (164 kw), 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is now mated to a five-speed manual transmission or optional five-speed Sentronic automatic transmission. Further emphasizing Arc's sportier character are the newly available 17-inch sport wheels. Adding a degree of safety due to their brighter illumination are Bi-Xenon headlamps, now available as stand-alone options on Arc and Aero models.
Heated front seats are standard on all Arc models, as are the power sliding glass sunroof with express open, color-matched body skirts, high-pressure headlamp washers and front and rear fog lights. Ventilated front seats, previously standard on Arc, are now optional.
Aero
The ultimate 9-5 performance derivative is the Aero. It features bolstered sport seats, 17-inch wheels, a sport-tuned chassis and the 2.3L High-Output Turbo (HOT) engine producing 250 horsepower (187 kw). New for 2004 is a body kit that produces a more aggressive exterior look for Aero models. In addition to - or in place of - equipment found on Linear and Arc models, Aero features leather sport seats with sport steering wheel, a 240-watt, Harman/Kardon-tuned audio system and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass and integrated garage door opener. The Saab Aero Academy two-day driving program is included with every Aero model.
