Sorry to hear about your experience, it's frustrating whenever our Turbo's are not able to engage!!
I bought a "used" (four months old, 1300 mile) 99 9-5SE, so I can not give an opinion on the dealer sales experience.
I suggest that you give MKB another shot.
I have never found a dealer that cared about any of the cars that I've owned, as much as I do. I had heard mixed reports about the old Ford affiliated SAAB dealer's service department, so I to went to Continental for my first service. Positive experience, except for the drive and time to go both ways.
My first experience with MKB started great! I had a dead battery, and Don snuck me in without an appointment to get a new one swapped out. Murphy's law took over as I was waiting for them to bring the car around - the driver backed into another car!. My body shop experience (they had no problem taking care of the damage, and providing me with a loaner car), was less then perfect. I had to reject the repair three times, over about six days, before I finally felt it was close to being correct. Yes they were polite each time I pointed out the defects, and yes the Body Shop Manager did get involved after I rejected the car the second time - but it should never have required ANY rejections. MKB has recently closed the body shop, and are now subing out the work.
I think that I have been back for service three times, after the battery swap out. (Once, for another battery) I have had no other problems with the service, and find the full staff that I have had business with to be polite and professional.
I have stepped into the new sales area several times, and found polite inquiries from the sales staff. I've missed Mike each time, but do plan to try and introduce myself to him when we connect.
Getting these complicated cars (TV's, Stereos, Boats, etc) fixed the first time out, can be a trying experience.
Give MKB another shot, and let us know how it comes out!! Again, I liked my experience with Contenital - but MKB is very close, and I'm satisfied that they do care.
Best of luck,
9-5 Smitty
