They "dumb down" the brakes for US-spec cars, the thinking being that since we can't drive at autobahn speeds we don't need the best brakes. But then people do some spirited driving or take a track course and the brakes go to hell; that's when the fun begins. The owner naturally wants BMWNA to replace at their expense as a warranty cost, and BMW cries abuse. The owner then questions BMW's manhood and says how can the Ultimate Driving Machine have such problems, etc. etc. etc.
The joy of brakes. Can't live with them .........
