That's exactly right, cheaply manufactured rotors can warp upon reaching a certain temperature level during hard or prolonged braking. Many who owned a late 1980 or early 1990 Ford product understand this, and I am not refering to the Ford composite rotor disaster. Some of the warping which occurs in today's rotors can be connected with lighter, therefore thinner rotors. Wear your rotors down below tolerance, and perform some prolonged heavy braking and see if you believe in warped rotors. Rapid heat build up or cool down works best.
