your tire change and your old tires do not show any abnormal wear, there is little reason to have the wheels aligned.
However, if you have tolerated a mis-aligned car with the old tires and you just put new tires on. You should have the alignment checked so you don't ruin your new tires.
On the other hand, if you know your car is not mis-aligned but now having some problems with the new tires, then you may want to see if the problem is associated with the new tires or just the new tires showing a faulty alignment.
My rant about wheel alignment is that there is always a chance that a "new" alignment job may end up screwing up your currrent perfectly fine alignment.
