)You shouldn't have any problems at all w/ the car scraping on speed bumps, etc. As long as you're reasonable w/ your speed (sounds like you will be) things will be fine. Your car is going to sit like an '02-'04 Aero does w/ the Eibach's.
)I never drove my car w/ the upgraded suspension and the stock 16's. I did use one of them when rotating the tires a few weeks ago and I have to say, it looked pretty cool w/ the 16's on it, being lowered and all. I have 17" BBS RK wheels (fitted w/ 225/45/17 Michelin HX MXM tires) and have no problems at all w/ rubbing.
)I've had the car full loaded several times now (and driven it 800+ miles that way) and it has never bottomed out. I did the same trip w/ the stock suspension once a few years ago and it did bottom out a lot (the rear did)...terrible. The Eibach's were a def. improvement here.
)The ride is taught, but I wouldn't describe it as being harsh. On these smooth roads here in FL (as opposed to the twisty back roads of Pittsburgh, PA) sometimes I wish it was firmer :).
)Mine is a '99 5spd, so I can't help w/ this question.
The car is a blast to drive w/ this suspension set-up (I too have the Aero sways). I've taken it on the Blue Ridge Parkway several times and it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend this setup since you say you live near the mountains. I couldn't agree more w/ your comment about Buickness. I felt this way about my 9-5 stock, also. Hope this helps.
