That limited my options somewhat, hence the reason for the Infinity.

I took the feed from the front speakers where the feed came out of the amplifier. Pins 36 and 17 on the amp.

But as you have the AS3 system, you can take the feed from the existing sub wiring already in the trunk. This would be less hassle I suppose, although you would need to take a fairly heavy gauge 12v fused supply wire back to the trunk to supply the basslink.

I asked my tech if it was necessary to take the feed off the battery, but he said that the fuse box supply was more than capable of taking the additional strain.

I think you are right about the new / upgraded 6x9's as long as you put in a sub amp - but that was not an option for me, so I went with the intergrated solution !

It sounds truly fantastic. Just so vastly different than the AS2 system, but I would also suspect that it would be a huge improvement on the AS3 system as well.

If I were in your position, I think I would opt for the upgraded 6x9's and the sub-amp. This would save space, as the basslink is quite bulky and does take up valuable trunk space. The other negative issue is that you cannot remove the basslink on a temporary basis as the fittings are of a screwed nature. I fixed it to the back of the rear seats (the smaller one of the two). I am happy though I bought this usit.

Good luck with your decision.
