Yes, I actually got the idea from you. I ventured over to the 9-3 board this summer and read about the guy w/ the '02 CAB that had done this. You seemed to be involved in these discussions most and knew what you were talking about. Needless to say, I got together w/ a buddy of mine that's a Saab tech and we did something very similar to my car. First is great, but you have to feather the throttle to control wheelspin. I did it more for the response during normal driving. The Speedparts ECU had pretty much taken care of 2nd, so I can't really tell a difference there. I'm in FL and always put 93 in the car. I haven't noticed any problems w/ that. I was hanging out w/ some car buddies last night and they were telling me about how this water injection stuff works. The only difference is from what they were saying, it cools down the engine (cylinders, etc.) about 200 degrees. First of all, that's a lot cooler and we all know our cars run better when it's cooler. Secondly, they were saying that if you change the timing you can run a higher amount of boost, safely. I'm already at 15psi so I don't know how much more I want to go on the stock Garrett GT17. However, having the engine run cooler all the time makes sense to me.
Thanks for responding on the Perf. board, also.
Jim
