I have traction control and I can get it to light up on some pavement conditions, not on others. So I don't get wheel spin and TCS would not allow anyways, unless I turned it off.
I did not try to set up the SMBC to increase boost like some others. I am running it as a turbo spoolup enhancer. With the Aero, I am already close to tractive limits already. I don't have experience pushing the ECU beyond where it wants to go with an 'overboosted SMBC'. It is interesting that some folks are getting more power. As you know, if pushed too hard, the ECU will do limp home mods which clear with a stop-restart. So there is something there that some are exploring.
You do not have to jack with timing with the Saab, the ECU does that as required.
