What are you running now? If you are using 7's and they are staying relatively clean, then these may be be a better plug for you.
There seems to be a growing concensus that the 7's provide better running in the higher output engines. I don't know if this is a T7 thing or not. But T5's are not Viggens or Aeros. There certainly is pressure to use the 7's for high output modified ECUs.
If you are using 6's, then it might be worth trying the 7's and monitor them for deposits. As long as they do not get fouled, they should be good, perhaps better.
I have been thinking of yanking the factory platinums in my 03 Aero 5spd S/W. I seem to have issues with 92 octane being marginal for this engine. So being on the edge of octane sensitivity, the engine might respond quite well if the plugs improve things a bit. The factory platinum plugs are known to not be good for HO ECU's. Perhaps the Aero is in that territory now, or on the edge for 92 octane fuels. I know I have octane issues, as 93 pump gas, or 92 octane pump gas fortified to around 93 makes some problems go away. Sometimes the engine hesitates going on to WOT and then there is the sometimes effect where letting off of WOT create a surge of power at a smaller throttle. These running problems are minor and occasional, but I want to have the engine running at peak performance all of the time.
My 95SET, 15 PSI of boost, always ran stong and hard on #6 plugs. But the ECU was not able to close the throttle or reduce boost. So it was forced to enrich and retard.
So I have to find a source for the plugs, after running NGK single platinums in my 95SET, I have not purchased any basic plugs in many years! Any auto parts chain stores with such on the shelf?
