Relatively light right foot!!!!!!!!! My 42 K miles is not put on a quarter of a mile at a time. I am not hesitant to dip my right foot into it on occasion,as that is part of why I wanted the Aero, but on a day to day basis,I generally drive it very easy on acceleration, and like I said, it is on sport mode 100 % of the time.I happen to like the very small throttle displacement providing extra power without having to push hard on the accelerator.when new, the same driving techniques gave me about 24 average and 28.5 highway, so one thing I can say is that break in on a sAab is pretty long. For what it's worth, my prior 1999 2.3 lpt five speed gave about 36 highway and 30 overall, and my prior 94 9000 Aero about 36.5 highway, better than any of the 9-5's, but then again, about 350 pounds lighter.
