In theory,everything comes out of the factory perfectly. Wheels and tires are mounted and balanced in a manner consistant with mass rpoduction, so there is a chance that one might be off. HOwever,even if they were on balance according to the factory method,the 9-5 tends to have that vibration period I mentioned, and that might be what you are feeling. I had three different sets of wheels and tires on my car prior to getting the current set balanced on the Hunter GPS9700, and the results now are better with the Hunter than any of the prior three combinations. what I guess I am saying is that the Hunter balancer is likely to be your best course, and if your dealer should decline to offer it, or agree to pay for it, ask him to get the Saab Regional service tech involved. Just asking will tell the dealer that you are not accepting his decision,and might get him to just do it.Saab dealers are aware of the Hunter machine, but like I said earlier,at 35 K a machine,they are not going to replace their existing balancer until they are convinced it cannot do the job on the majority of cars. Chances are if they have a Snap On or FMC balancer it works fine in many cases,even on some 9-5's. When I took my car in and the mechanic was trying to diagnose my perceptions of a slight vibration,I asked him if he feels it, and he said no. Turns out he drives to work in a ten year old rusted out mini Toyota pickup with a gazillion miles on it. Do you think he will be as sensitive to subtle ride annomalies like a small vibration? Not much chance. I would justask the dealer to get your wheels done on a Hunter at the nearest shop that has one. They are likely to be found intire specialty shops. I think that Jason attached the link from Hunter's web site that sllows you to locate one. Good luck
