you can drop or add a couple of numbers and usually you're still OK - but you do need to compensate with the pressures. Note that the sidewall load rating is *always* at max pressure - so a "91" rating, which is 1356 lb. per tire (corresponding to 5400 lb. total weight if you get everything equally balanced) might be at 44 psi for your tires. "93" tires are rated at 1411 psi at the same maximum pressure. From the tire pressure/size recommendations in my 9000 shop manual, I'd recommend about 1.5-2 psi per load step - or bump the pressure about 4psi from what the sticker says.
Note as well that the '00-'01 Aero Wagons came from the factory with "91" load rated tires - starting with '02, Saab upgraded to "XL" rated (94) tires in the same size.
You **could** use this as an excuse to leave your mother in law home ...
