Hey there folks...
I was just giving my off season wheels a good cleaning for the first time to put in storage for the season. On the insides of the wheels, (mainly the fronts), about 1/4 - 1/3 of it was totally caked with brake dust and grime. I'm kind of baffled on how this could just be concentrated in one area of the wheel since they are constantly rotating while driving?!?! Took a lot of elbow grease and sweat to clean them up as it was really a pain. I've heard I should wax the wheels before I put them back on, which makes sense as the grime won't stick to it as easy. The every week cleaning of brake dust doesn't really bother me that much, but I would hate to go through this again. Does anyone know why it was so concentrated in one spot? And any other suggestions to keeping them clean would be highly appreciated!
