Last week i bought a 2000 aero w/77k miles. It had all the service records and was well cared for, 1 owner. I went to the local parts store to do the first oil change. I knew i wanted full-syn but what grade. I read the owners manual and the back of all Mobile 1 quarts. I went with 0w-40 since that was the only quart that referenced SAAB. Am i o.k. with 0w-40. By the way I'm in Maine, and this morning it was 11 degrees.
Next, the tires. These tires were not orginial, because i found a goodyear package in the owners manual, but the tires are Toyo's. On the passenger side, both the front and rear tires, have a "groove" warn into them like i have never seen before. On the inside a groove has been warn away. The side walls were not warn like i have ever seen, there was a 1/2" wide x 1/2" deep area gone from the tires. Is the tire hitting something and rubbing away or is this as simiply as the front end being out of alginment?
Thanks
Bert K
