I don't think it's the tranny/clutch slipping in your case, but the compression inside cylinders bleeding out allowing the car to move.
Different cars/engines has different compression ratios and that might be why your other cars were able to withstand that incline without rolling.
As you probably know, leaving the car in 5th gear will make it move a lot easier than leaving it in 1st gear. That's because the gearing will put more or less force onto the engine and cylinder compression
