...look into the E-code conversion.
Interesting points about the distance one sees with halogens vs. xenons. We're a 2 Saab family; wife drives ad '01 9-3SE and I drive an '02 Aero (w/ bi-xenons). I can state unequivocally that I see _more_ with the xenons. That is, I have greatly enhanced field of vision. Whether I can see further down the road or not, I'm not sure, haven't done any side-by-sides in that manner. But I know that going from the halogens to the xenons is like driving a car with big spotlights on. There's a huge difference in how much is lit up before me. Also the zenons have a much clearer upper cutoff which makes me believe they can be higher output without blinding oncoming drivers.
E-codes I can talk about as well. Before I got the Aero, I drove a Nissan 240SX. Dan Stern was a tremendous help in getting me set up with not only E-code lenses and 80/100W bulbs, but also in doing the rewiring necessary to carry the juice. The whole project took about three hours. And the difference was night and day, so to speak!
Just remember with the E-codes, it's VERY important to aim them properly. Stern has wiring diagrams and aiming instructions on his website.
